Built in 2002, under the joint efforts ofd epartments at all levels of leadership , Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Department has always kept the goal of cultivating high-endskilled talents with “Solid the oretical knowledge, Strong professional skills, and Excellent comprehensive quality”, which becomes one of the largest departments in Weihai Vocational College. Now we have set up 8 majors, including Mechanical Design and Manufacture (including Vocational College Program+ UndergraduateProgram), Electric Automation Technology (includingVocational College Program+ Undergraduate Program), Numerical Control Technology, Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Management, Computer Aided Design and Manufacture, Machinery Manufacture and Automation, Mold Design and Manufacturing, Industrial Robotics, Mechatronics Technology. And Machinery Design and Manufacture, Electric Automation Technology and Numerical Control Technology are one of key constructional specialties of the first batch of 28 National Exemplary Higher Vocational College, all were rated as Shandong Brand specialty and Shandong Featured specialty. Existing 89 part-time teachers and 79 full-time teachers, including 5 professors, 29 associate professors, 4 PhD students, 28 Master degree candidates, has formed a high quality teaching team with higher cultural level, reasonable knowledge structure, rich practical experience, and excellent teaching and research ability, and the rate of "dual quality" teachers is up to 100%. The aim of this department is to cultivate students' good professional quality and strong employment competitiveness. The employment rate of graduates reached more than 99%, and all the graduates received unanimous praise from employers.
